6 Privacy Concerns Around The Latest Facebook Update [Infographic]

Facebook’s latest update takes sharing to places Facebook has never been before, with their new subscribe feature, Timeline, Open Graph apps, built-in privacy settings in every post and more.  But along with the update comes some new concerns regarding privacy.  A new infographic from consumer Internet security brand ZoneAlarm explores six new privacy concerns that have arisen as a result of the latest Facebook update.

The infographic, ‘Facebook Update Raises Red Flags’, explores what the new Timeline and Open Graph apps mean for Facebook’s 800 million active users, 86 percent of whom strongly dislike the new changes, according to a survey conducted by Sodahead.  The infographic explores the six biggest privacy issues and gives tips on how you can protect yourself.

The biggest issue that I noticed was that when I opted in to allow people to subscribe to me suddenly all of my previous posts had been made public.  To avoid this issue, go into your ‘Privacy Settings’ and under ‘Limit the Audience for Past Posts’ click on ‘Limit Old Posts’.

Check out ZoneAlarm’s six red flags and their solutions below and let us know what you think.  What’s your take on the new Facebook?  Do you like it?  Are you concerned about your privacy?
